See you laters and changing times

I lost count with how many goodbye/see -you-laters we've had over the last couple of weeks thanks to moving. Last night's was the biggest and hardest and we just had the final one this morning. What a blessing!

My hubby is doing a couple of finalizations and I am in the car waiting for him and am writing. I steal time to write whenever possible and this is no exception. I should work on my novel, but journaling and remembering the present is critical as well.

Driving around Omaha this morning has been interesting as I realize how this is the last time I'll see... fill in the blank... There have been so many memories made here. Omaha, all the people and places are permanent parts of my life now.

A new chapter has started.

I can't wait to see what the Lord has in mind for us. That's the exciting part.

Gotta love technology

Over the last hour, I've been able to text with four people and talk with four over the phone... people in Nebraska, Nevada, and Colorado.

I am so grateful for the ability and the opportunity.

The latest

Yesterday the movers packed my life into a truck (and drove away) and the day before, they put it into cardboard boxes. Today, the house is being cleaned.

It is rather humbling to think everything representing your life could be taken to the dump when it is all said and done. I don't know about you, but that sure gets my attention and makes me think.

The only way to make you life and count is to leave a good mark on all the lives you come across in your life. It's living a true life of faith, and not the lip-service faith that ensures even if all your stuff is lost, your life has meant something. Fight the good faith.

More moving thoughts

Do you know how odd it is to see everything you own in boxes?

It is quite surreal really.

My entire life is represented in cardboard. Humbling.
